<p>You have seen the internet ads promising you that you can make lots of money with Clickbank. They tell you to sign up for a Clickbank account and post your links and away you go but there is so much more to it than that. We want to give you some better understanding of what you can do to improve your chances of actually making money with this type of internet marketing. <p>So first let’s start with the sales page that you get when you put in your Clickbank id. All too often, that web page they provide you is over used, blacklisted or considered spam. This same page has been posted over and over again. Remember, when we talk about search ranking well in Google, Bing and Yahoo, fresh content is always going to do better than posting the same old content that has been over posted. What we need to do is create fresh content on our own website.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The first thing we want to do is research and find the right key word to use for our new page we create on your website. You know what I mean as it will be whatever your existing website is ( ie: <a href="http://www.mywebsite.com/">www.mywebsite.com</a>) and then your keyword will be /credit-repair-software (or whatever your clickbank product is you are trying to make money with.) Now in writing this, I am trying to give you real, simple instructions and understanding but there are some things you may have to learn. So please forgive me if I miss anything or do not explain it exactly. Once your new page has been created, we then can do one of a few things.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The first thing we can do is select all and copy the sales page that was provided to us by click bank and paste it on our new page. Even if we do not do anything else, you can now post your new page on things likes twitter, Facebook or wherever and do not have the problem of the link being spammy. We do not suggest stopping here. We think the next thing you should do is make changes to the page and add different words than what are on the sales page.  This creates new content and fresh content.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The second idea is using a piece of software like Snagit, copy and reprint the sales page on your new page. You can then take and write up fresh content about the product and either throw it behind the scenes or post it somewhere on the page visually. It is up to you which you do. The Snagit software turns it into a photo of sorts so the spiders cannot read it and what you write up becomes what is seen.</p>
<p>The last way to do it is to write the whole thing up on your new page starting fresh. All words come from you. The only thing I would caution is to make sure you understand how to write up the content and use keywords appropriate to your product and page.</p>

<p>There is so much more to making money with Click Bank but this one is major. Learn to use what is given and recreate it to drive traffic, not have issues with being denied on using your link and have the traffic come to your website. <p>What’s a retailer to do?  The success of the Groupon promotion was truly amazing, but how do I keep them coming back without a deep, deep discount?  Therein lies the rub.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Alternatively, what does a retailer do when the Deal of the Day email promotion brought in so much activity that they failed to estimate the success level?  Again; a cause for pause.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>I applaud Groupon for its tremendous success in revitalizing a dying industry; email marketing.  With Opt-In subscribers, targeted ads hit the inbox and not the spam filter.  Groupon’s overwhelming success as a marketing vehicle is one for the record books. The overwhelming success of this concept has breathed new life into the email-marketing concept.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Like all good things, however, nothing is a perfect solution for business growth and sustainability.  A terrific tool to boost brand awareness, sales generator (however discounted and paid for) and marketing powerhouse, it generates success, and another need.  What is too much success and why is this not the panacea?  That is an easy one.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Let us imagine a bakery that elects to use a Deal of the Day email marketing company (Groupon isn’t the only one out there, just the most successful) to market their new business.  The 50% off email is sent to all opt-in members of the marketer, scheduled for Tuesday from 6 am until noon.  The owners and staff of the bakery work diligently the prior weekend, not only managing the routine customers shopping and sampling their wares, but doing everything in their power to ready themselves for what is expected to be a terrific retail opportunity they and the marketer has estimated will partake.  The back of the store is a blur of activity; icing being made, stacks of flour and sugar block the narrow walkways of the kitchen and the staff bumping into each other in attempts to “get it done on time.”  The only thing different about Monday is that the fever pitch of activity is increased, as the baking has started, racks of unfrosted cupcakes are everywhere.  Butter, fondant, pastry bags and stacks of baking sheet pans are everywhere, creating a mess in every corner of the tiny kitchen.  Throughout the afternoon and long into the night, the activity is nearly out of control.  Here’s hoping the production staff will have produced enough product to meet the intended demand.  There will be little sleep Monday night, and a very early rise on Tuesday, the Deal Day.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>What if….1.  The moment of truth, will this event put the bakery on the map?  They can only hope.  The morning starts out a bit quieter than everyone expected, but steady customers find their way into the store and through the cash register.  The owner is nervous about the amount of time sensitive product on hand. What are they to do with the hundreds of potential leftovers?  Nails bitten down to the quick, the idle staff begins to pace.  Then it happens.  The floodgates open and the rush of business is daunting, with wave after wave pounding onto the doorways of the store.  Now the only thoughts are whether there is enough to meet the demand, or if the crowd will turn ugly if they exhaust inventory.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>What if….2.  The other decisive moment, will this event help or hurt the reputation of the bakery?  They can only hope it is a positive experience.  Like the previous run up to the morning of truth, the staff and ownership have spent days in preparation for Tuesday morning.  The floodgates open at the moment the front door is unlocked, and the crowd of customers build steadily for the next four hours.  It’s now 11 am, and the entire inventory is depleted to a few broken and smudged cupcakes, all un-servable.  What now?</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Both of these scenarios are completely plausible, not just at a bakery, but for just about every type of business using this marketing scheme.  Rumor has it these exact results have been experienced, only much worse and much better.  The economics of Deal of the Day email marketing programs are such that there is little, if any net profit in the offering for the owners of the given business using the campaign.  With the up to thirty-five percent fee the Dealmaker charges, the cost of materials and labor, and the fact the product is sold at 50% off, what is left for profits?  It rarely exists under these conditions, but the exposure may well be worth the overall cost, especially if the promotion turns out well.  If it does not turn out positive, it could be the trigger for a tragic set of events.  Everything from cash flow troubles, consumption of product ingredients for “normal” production, angry customers, damaged brand and credibility; bad local press and a whole host of problems can drive a business out of business all together.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>What does a retailer using this form of marketing do AFTER the event to re-capture those who partook and enjoyed the promotion?  What does a retailer do when disaster strikes, causing dissatisfaction?  It’s a known fact that upset customers tell 7 to 9 others about their negative experience, while satisfied customers tell no more than 2 or 3.  How can they either take advantage of the customers in either situation?</p>

<p>An Affordable Hi-Tech Solution</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Text marketing, in several ways, which is affordable, easy to implement, customer controlled and can be tracked.  Through an on-going marketing effort to grow a “preferred customer” or “fan club” database, when the Deal of the Day event occurs, and new customers Opt-In to the database, follow up, rewards, surveys, contests and follow on coupons can be transmitted to them long after the Deal Day event.  The combination of the two programs, Deal of the Day and database text marketing not only provides additional tracking information, it is a platform to accomplish multiple marketing goals.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>With a plethora of marketing solutions from which to choose, a mobile marketing plan is the biggest bang for the buck.  If a business is intent on stable, long lasting growth through their marketing efforts, a comprehensive mobile marketing strategic plan is the most cost-effective and positive result tool in the marketing toolbox.</p>

<p>The company known as Groupon has revolutionized email marketing, becoming a multi-billion dollar valued business and did it in a mere two years.  Copy-Cat business models are carving their own niche into the market, but let’s face it, unless Groupon implodes, they have little change of becoming a direct competitor on a national scale.  Don’t get me wrong, I think the Deal of the Day concept is terrific, and Groupon is to be saluted as achieving the unachievable; making email marketing a viable business model.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>While most small businesses focus their attention on the micro market, the macro seeming out of reach, their marketing and advertising dollars are  utilized with the hopes of a large return in a market they can control.  With mass email marketing those deals, companies report tremendous response, often overwhelming the merchants.  Text marketing can be controlled to the number of recipients, can be spread out over the course of a week or more, and can be more manageable, as the response is often a mystery.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Deal of the Day marketing companies cost more than anyone is willing to discuss out loud, but the truth is the fee is anywhere from 15-25% of the revenue generated from the offering.  If a merchant is discounting their merchandise to win new customers, the decreased margin is diminished even further by the cost of marketing through one of these companies. Is there another way?</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The answer is a resounding Yes!  Through the use of text marketing, companies can target their customer base through a variety of different means.  From offering REAL-TIME discounts, special deals or whatnot, to couponing and QR Code (2D Barcode) merchandise messaging.  The cost of a program is less than half that of the alternatives, and the ability to instantly track results is at hand.</p>

<p>Most of America believes texting is a one way messaging vehicle, but the truth is that database development is affordable, fun and easy to manage.  By running a contest, those participants’ data is collected with each response.  If you were to conduct a survey, every vote means another contact has just been entered into your database.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Remember when the television program asked you to vote for your favorite dancer, vocalist or other reason to vote? Can you remember what the SMS code short code) was, or the keyword?  Chances are if you voted, you have no recollection of the “text to” and the “keyword” was.  No one could have that good a memory, because there was little if anything to attach the information to their brain.  All that has changed with the introduction of  identifiable short codes, keywords that can be your name or your company’s name, or your product, or whatever is memorable.  In a previous article I provided an example of an effective short code (SMS). Here’s a short example for the development of a database.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>On a table tent, sign, billboard and any other advertising medium, the message can read:  Want to join our VIP Club to receive special VIP Only invitations and special discounts?  Simply text “yourcompany” to 90210.</p>
<p>Who can forget the most recognizable five digit number in the world? From the television show about the zip code in California, to the magazine, to the newly recreated television show, 90210 is forever embedded into America’s (and the world’s) psyche.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>How effective is a text marketing campaign? Fortune 50 companies like Ford Motor Company have gone on record stating that the major focus of the marketing and advertising dollars spent in 2011 and beyond will be in mobile marketing.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>If Ford believes that is where to spend their money, doesn’t it make sense for all business?</p>

As a consumer or a retailer, a recipient or a transmitter, either way, mobile marketing is entering your existence in a bigger way by the day.  Deals and steals through mobile devices is the natural evolution of marketing and advertising, as people continue to grow tired of sitting idly by watching television commercials, reading magazine promotions and coupon clipping. We’re inundated with advertising, with marketers broadcasting to the masses in hopes of making an impression.  Imagine New York’s Times Square, or London’s Piccadilly Circus, with all the massive electronic messaging boards blocking out the sun and making the night into day with all their lights.  Have you considered the shopping district of shinsaibashi in Tokyo?  Mass marketing and advertising all around, yet where are people looking?  At their mobile phones, Blackberry, and Apple Tablets, that’s where.</p>
<p>Today’s experts in the field have learned the truth that it is all about making a connection with an individual, rather than shot-gunning they are rifling their messages to consumers. Marketers and advertisers know exactly where the eyes are, and they are on their mobile devices. No longer, is the mobile phone a luxury or “for emergency use only” device, it is the extension of our communications abilities, our vehicle to connect.</p>
<p>Don’t believe me?  Next time you are outside of your house or at work, take a look around you.  You’ll see people looking down at their mobile devices; walking into fountains at the mall, standing at a red light waiting to cross the road, and sometimes, unfortunately, driving down the highway.  People are streaming video on the train on the way to work, or texting some friend about drinks after work.  At the beginning of 2011, the percentage estimate of U.S. companies using mobile marketing was about 2%.  The estimate at mid-year is already surpassing 4%, and by the end of 2015, approximately 54% of American corporations will have embraced mobile marketing.  Today, the odd person that sticks out of a crowd is the one without a mobile phone in their hand. That population is shrinking constantly.</p>
<p>I just finished watching a documentary on the 101 most influential gadgets in history, and guess which one is numero uno?  The Smartphone, of course.  It, like no other gadget in existence has changed the world so quickly, with its more than a dozen gadgets rolled into one.  What are some of them? Simply put, GPS, the answering machine, telephone, internet, computer, camera, movie camera, telephone switchboard, news media center, messaging center, conference call center and a whole bunch more.  With the proliferation of applications, or “apps” as to what they are commonly referred, individuals and companies of all sizes are accomplishing more quickly.  In an instant, you can check the weather, send a message, find directions, and receive a discount coupon and a plethora of other tasks and duties, all delivered or transferred in your hand.  At this writing, there are more than 5 billion mobile devices in operation world wide, with China leading the way. By the end of next year, Smartphone ownership is projected to reach 6Billion world wide</p>
<p>Here is some food-for-thought; the number of apps in residency on your mobile device is clearly representative of your mobile prowess.  What I mean by that is simply; if you own many apps, yet do not use them, or worse yet, don’t know how, you are clearly at a disadvantage.  Get them off your device, unless you like bragging on how many you have downloaded.  If their presence clogs productivity or confuses the issue of locating the right app, you are fooling yourself.  Lean is mean, and that is the way I recommend you view the app environment.  Operate in a mean, lean fashion and you will be able to stay atop the mobile revolution.  Concurrently, if you have not capitalized on time saving, convenience oriented applications; you are missing out on time management opportunities.</p>
<p>Mobile advertising revenues are projected to skyrocket by the end of 2012, with a target of $25 Billion by the end of 2015.  That’s is a paradigm shift if I ever heard of one.  Companies are switching their advertising campaigns away from print media to mobile, and doing so in record numbers.  I don’t mean to say that print is completely dead; it’s just on life support at the moment. As Millennial’s become a larger part of the decision making force in corporations, and the Boomers and beyond move into retirement, the pace will quicken into a race for supremacy of their respective space.</p>
<p>Regardless of your current view, mobile is here to stay, and will continue to evolve and fascinate us with its capabilities.  Since the dawning of the personal computer, the pace of technology and knowledge transfer has quickened.  The past thirty years’ pace will seem slow as we roll into the middle of this decade and beyond.</p>
